Physical play items such as our multi-play Triple Cube Climber are a perfect addition to help to strengthen and refine major muscle groups of the upper and lower body and core as they go!
Physical play plays a crucial role in the development of young children, impacting their physical, cognitive, and social skills. To encourge more physical play to the children at Leyland St James, we installed one of our Multi-play Double Cube Climbers and a Timber Traverse Wall onto some Artifical Grass Surfacing. Now everyone can enhance their gross motor skills and coordination, while also building muscle strength and endurance through motions like traversing, balancing and climbing around the funfilled play frame.
Physical play items such as our multi-play Triple Cube Climber are a perfect addition to help to strengthen and refine major muscle groups of the upper and lower body and core as they go!
The challenge of getting from one end of the Cube Climber to the other the children will develop and growth their gross motor skills, such as grabbing the ropes along on the 'Half Height Scramble Net', holding onto the hand hoops on the 'Trapeze Walk' and moving along the 'Tyre Traverse'.
The variety of features around our Cube Climber frame create a place for lots of imaginative play & encourage children to let their imaginations run wild...for example they might imagine the floor is lava and they're trying not to touch it whilst moving across the ropes or as they navigate the along the Trapeze Walk they might imagine they're swinging through trees like Tarzan.
Weaving along the 'Log Weave', Navigating onto each of the 'Swinging Logs', to traversing across the 'Crossed Ropes' and they move to each of the moving tyres along the 'Tyre Traverse' all these activities help children to build up spatial awareness and the hand eye coordination.
Being outside and in the fresh air is therapeutic, reduces stress and anxiety alongside promoting socialisation and sensory processing.
Physical challenges in the playground, inspire children to move outside their comfort zone and strengthening both their social development and social communication skills whilst playing and navigating around the activities.
