Leyland Methodist Primary School

With the use of a variety of our trim trail equipment and new resin mulch surfacing...the children at Leyland Methodist now have an amazing play space to enhance their physical fitness and coordination, whilst making their way across each of the items.

Located at the heart of the trail is the Clamberstack 1, an obstacle designed to encourage balance and agility with a variety of balance beams and a central low level net. Surrounding it are several other features, such as the Zig Zag Beams, which test childrens stability as they navigate over a series of angled beams. The Parallel Ropes provide an upper body challenge, requiring strength and coordination as individuals balance their way across using the two ropes. The Twin Traverse Wall offers a dynamic climbing experience, while the Tyre Traverse challenges users to move quickly across suspended tyres, building both agility and endurance.

The Stepping Logs and Mini Log Bridge present further opportunities for balance. The Crawl Through Tunnel adds a fun, low-level obstacle that encourages flexibility and coordination. The Half Height Scramble Net offers a climbable challenge to develop strength and motor skills, and finally the Swinging Log Traverse provides a unique, moving obstacle that tests timing and balance. This comprehensive trail promotes physical health and improves coordination in an engaging and challenging environment.

Strength & Fitness

Trim Trail equipment are a perfect addition to any sized playground and to promote physical development. Each piece of equipment helps to strengthen and refine a variety of major muscle groups of the upper and lower body and core.

Balance & Coordination

From balancing along the 'Zig Zag Beams', Gripping on each of the rocks on the 'Traverse Wall', to navigating across the 'Swinging Log Traverse' as they move, all help children to build up spatial awareness and the hand eye coordination.

Imagination

Trim Trails are a great way to create a place for promote lots of imaginative play & to encourage children to let their imaginations run wild...for example they might imagine the 'resin' floor is lava and they're trying not to touch it whilst moving across the 'Parallel Ropes' or as they crawl through the 'tunnel' they might imagine they're exploring a cave.

Motor Skills

The challenge of getting from the start to finish on a trim trail helps children to develop and growth their gross motor skills, such as pulling themselves up along and through the logs on the 'Clamberstack 1' or grabbing the ropes on the 'Half Height Scramble Net' as they traverse along it - each piece of equipment helps children to build up various muscles and skills.
