Golborne Community Primary

This newly completed early year's area is one of the many different areas we have designed and completed at Golborne Community Primary over the years and we was so happy to be involved in transforming another one of their wonderful outdoor spaces. As seen in the images below, there are a wide variety of areas and equipment that is used to create a fun-filled space that children can now learn and grow with during their early development. One of the main parts in the design is one of our Timber Canopies. The canopy with resin bonded mulch surfacing, creates a sheltered and usable learning place for children to enjoy in all weathers, it has a full cladded back, half cladded sides and perspex roof panels to help with UV protection.

The canopy area features the following:

Story Telling Area

Featuring one of our popular Story Tellers Chairs and Post Mounted Curved Benches in front, this lovely covered story telling area corner is a great way to encourage literacy and reading and also to develop their imagination and creativity with friends.

Stage Area

Underneath the canopy we created a stage zone to the right hand size using one of our timber cladded stages with a backdrop and mirror panel with four of our moveable and fun Cube Seats at the front for comfy seating and viewing.

Double Sandbox with Pulleys

Another one of our popular messy play items...This sandbox comes with two sand pits with HDPE lids, a bucket/ pulley and seating around the edges. Playing in a sandbox can be a great sensory experience for children whilst developing their motor and social skills too.

Timber Wigwam

Our timber play wigwam is a great way to encourage imaginative play. The cone shape, colourful perspex windows andartificial grassunderneath, creates a cosy place for children to crawl and relax in with a book and socialise with friends.

Clamber Stack 1

A timber climber constisting of a vareity of challenging balance beams, nets and ropes that create a great place for children to meet, play and encourage children to develop their social interaction, physical and social skills as they go.

Social Skills and Confidence

May it be reading stories on the Story Tellers Chair with friends, putting on a show on the Stage or building up confidence to climb to the top of the Clamber Stack. The equipment helps to inspire children to move outside their comfort zones whilst strengthening their social development and communication skills.

Motor Skills

By engaging in the water play, sand play and physical play elements within this space, children can enhance their muscle development, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory exploration. They can also widen their imagination and problem-solving skills too.

Mental Well-Being

Playing and learning outdoors in the fresh air, reduces stress and anxiety whilst promoting socialisation and sensory processing.

Playground equipment helps to encourage children to let their imaginations in a lot of ways as they use and play on the items and in the different areas throughout the playground. May that by staring in their own play on the stage, telling their own story in the story telling area or creating role play scenarios with their classmates.
